The "Bunga Api" (literally translated "Flower Fire" or affectionately known as "fireworks") is back!
Last night at Abang and Kakak's we were pleasantly surprised after dinner when all the kids hurried outside to play with fireworks. There were no sparklers this time, so there was little chance of going to the clinic. We're not sure where Abang acquired the fireworks... (since they're illegal here)...but we had fun with them anyway!
Here is Adik with some fireworks trying to throw up a couple of "peace" signs...but he's 3...so we give him credit for trying...Our outfits are all ready for the Hari Raya Celebration. So stay tuned for the big reveal next week...Hari Raya starts next Friday!

Hey Guys!
Ok, this has to do with the last update... Oh well, anyways, I was looking for some cleaning items on the rack in my bathroom the other day, and suddenly thought of your amazing Cif. I thought to myself, "Man, we need something like that in the Middle East!" Well, I saw a yellow bottle with a green top on it and nearly the exact same logo on it as your "Cif" bottle, except it said "Jif". Apparantly, Cif has a twim Jif in the Middle East!
Awesome! Wow, 3 years old and playing with fireworks, that's brave!!(and maybe even a little crazy!) I can't let Collin see this post!
I think "Cif" is "Jif" Kelsey...although if you say "Jif" like an Asian, maybe it comes out "Cif" which may be why they call it that here...who knows?!?! :)
Annie...at first he was only posing with the fireworks... and to my knowledge he only held one of those roman candles (when we realized he had one lit, his sisters went to the rescue to make sure none were mis-guided...ALTHOUGH, this is the same kid I thought I needed to give adult supervision to with a simple sparkler last year, and I was the who went to the clinic...so go figure!...:)
