We’ve been having a great time with my (Sharon) parents. We’ve hung out a lot at home, but have gone out a couple of times.

My mom helped me clean out our backyard (it’s still not finished yet…we want to put some grass down and maybe plant a couple of pretty plants)Here’s before,
Here’s after the before, but not after-after… we made a spot to burn stuff. People here burn their trash sometimes, but its never in the same place…so I figured if I made a place for burning maybe it would encourage burning in that spot…who knows!
And here is Isaac before opening his presents on Christmas morning. We don’t really have any of him actually opening them because, well, he’s 10 months old and doesn’t really understand it yet….but he loved his new toys once we opened them for him!

I'm getting this feeling of de ja vou after reading this...perhaps it reminds me of a certain post of Heather's - what's with your family and burning stuff?? :) At least this one didn't get out of hand...

I guess some things never change...we always did yard work at the duPlex when your parents came to town! I am glad Christmas went well! Love ya lots! Danielle
FYI Danielle...the backyard work/plan was ALL Sharon's idea. I admit the thought to do it went through my head, too. The hard clay and rocky ground discourages "real" gardening. Most people landscape with potted plants. Bottom line truth is Sharon's got at least one of my genes! LOL
So glad to see that you guys had so much fun with your family. I'm so happy for you that they were able to come and visit for Christmas. Isaac as usual is such a cutie. I can't believe how big he is or how blonde his hair looks in these pics. Hope that your class is going well and that you're feeling a bit better...
